Rare early Zuid Holland PZH Gouda Art Pottery pitcher jug, Suled patter, circa 1910s
Made circa 1910s by one of the most significant producers of Gouda Art Pottery in the region, PZH; otherwise known as Plateelfabriek Zuid Holland. This rare early Suled pattern pitcher predates the dating system instituted in 1918, and was produced from the 1910 saccording to the Phyllis Ritvo reference book on Gouda. In a stylised floral pattern, this has been hand-painted with vibrant jewel tones strongly influenced by Orientalism and the Jugendstil movement.
