Collection: Ethnographic Art
Here at Cache we have curated antiques and vintage pieces from around the world, including African, Papua New Guinean, Oceanic etc. Such pieces traditionally had important socio-religious meaning, while their bold colours and dynamic expressions inspired multiple Western aesthetic movements such as Impressionism and fauvism.
Due to the important cultural meaning these pieces have, we have attempted to determine their origin, provenance and significance while conveying as such whenever possible.
