A charming vintage 20th century strand of green hardstone worry beads, carved in the shape of faces with a carved Buddha plaque at the end. Serpentine or Chinese nephrite jade rather than jadeite, carved in an archaistic style to imitate “tomb jade”, i.e. nephrite carvings of great age used in ancient times as burial items.

Price marked at $300 AUD. 

Measurements: Internal diameter approximately 8cm, total length of 24cm.
