A charming 1950s Beswick “Mrs Tiggywinkle” figurine, depicting the iconic character from Beatrix Potter’s children’s books. Her books which depicted various woodlands characters from the English countryside remain a childhood staple to this day.
This particular version is the first variation of the first version, which shows the character with a diagonal striped red brown and white dress, green and blue striped skirt and white apron.
The basestamp is a BP2A Gold Oval, and the figurine was modelled by Arthur Gredington. The figurine was released from 1954 to 1972.

Excellent vintage condition, with some overall crazing and minimal wear otherwise commensurate with age.
