Beautiful vintage 10 carat sardonyx shell cameo brooch depicting the Roman god Mercury, with the contrasting layers of shell enhancing his profile and distinctive winged helmet. The setting is circa first quarter of the 20th century and 10 carat gold (marked on clasp). The cameo is of that period if not older.
