Influenced by the 17th c. painter Pierre Puget, this late 19th century French gilt bronze figure of baby Jesus on an alabaster base is sure to charm.
Laying on the cross and wrapped in swaddling, his features are beautifully depicted.
There is some wear to the gilt, particularly along one cheekbone, but still a wonderful display piece and fine work of art in its own right. No significant damage otherwise. Some wear to alabaster base commensurate with age.
