A beautiful Showa Period Ando Company cloisonne box (mid to late 20th century), with cherry blossom motifs to the top.

Ando Jubei was one of the greatest Meiji period artists whose innovations helped usher in the “Golden Age for Japanese cloisonné”.

Jubei’s successors, the Ando Company (Ando Shippoyaki), are known for their exceptionally fine cloisonné work. The Ando company currently does not produce this design.
