A beautiful set of four 19th century silver teaspoons by the renowned French firm Puiforcat, made in .800 silver circa 1857 to 1897. Crafted with delicate designs to handles, including floral motifs to both front and back of spoon.

By the late nineteenth century Puiforcat had moved into the high end of the silversmithing trade, gaining particular renown for creating pieces inspired by past historical masterpieces often from within the company’s own collection. Still operating today, the firm epitomises French fine silverware at its best with a recent collaboration with Hermes in 2016.

Price marked at $240 AUD for the set.

Measurements: 39.2 grams, 11cm length.

Excellent antique condition with light wear overall commensurate with age. Maker’s marks crisp and well-struck; assay marks slightly rubbed.
