A magnificent set of vintage 4 sterling silver chargers, with marks for Nat Leslie, London, 1973. These were retailed by Nat Leslie at the London Silver Vaults, one of the premier silver destinations in the world.
Since 1885, the London Silver Vaults were used by the wealthy and the landed gentry to keep their treasures, and over the course of the 20th century, emerged to become the vaults as we now know them. Nat Leslie, an early vaults tenant, is now a company still managed by the same family, and specialises in Victorian and fine 20th century silver, particular British designers from the post-war period.
These magnificent chargers are statement pieces, with fine engine turned details and beaded borders. Their substantial size and proportions make these some o the finest British contemporary pieces we have seen, sure to become future heirlooms.
