Royal Dux Neo-Classical Porcelain Figurine
Royal Dux Neo-Classical Porcelain Figurine
Duxer Porzellanmanufaktur, or Dux Porcelain Manufactory, was started in 1860 by Eduard Eichler in what was then Duchov, Bohemia. Pottery and porcelain figures produced by the factory are generally referred to as by "Royal Dux".
This particular figurine is quite collectible with its pink triangle bisque porcelain mark, with acorn and impressed E, which dates this to 1900-1918. A sizeable piece sure to make a statement in any home.
A maiden in a neo-classical style, holding a large almost shell like basket.
Overall excellent condition, one small hairline crack on basket- stable, looks like it may have been a firing flaw.
Measurements: 39 cm height, 17cm across hand to hand
