Rare early 18th century Kangxi period scholar motif dish, beautifully executed in blue & white. Featuring a scholar at his desk with courtyard details, with an blue underglaze inscription to top and a maker’s mark to top and bottom of base, 章and 登 respectively. Double-ringed workshop mark in blue glaze to the base.

Rings true. Moderate wear overall commensurate with age; two historic chips to rim as pictured. Minor firing flaws as well as some staining and crazing as pictured. This would be good antique condition considering the age of Qing porcelain. Old provenance level to base.
