A rare and beautiful two compartment Chinese export silver mesh purse, with marks for Kwan Wo circa late 19th to early 20th century; tests as .900 silver purity. Kwan Wo was an important maker and retailer active 1875 to 1940, based in Canton as well as Hong Kong.
Beautifully made with a cash coin shaped charm to chain handle, dragons chasing a pearl to one side of the clasp and auspicious characters for health, longevity, peace, health and good fortune to the other.
A real statement piece, perfect for Chinese export silver collectors and fashionistas alike.
