This beautiful majolica pitcher, possibly wine decanter, is one of the rarest pieces we have seen. A bonny wee babe with blue eyes and a baby basket surrounded with flowers, this Spanish piece circa late 19th century is a must for any majolica collector. Captioned “Recuardo Valencia”, this would likely have been a decanter from Spain, possibly the wine-producing district of Manises in Valencia.

Measurements: 24cm length, 22cm height, 16 cm depth (approx.)
Good antique condition. Wear to the base and some overall wear and light fleabite chips. Slight fade to glaze but overall colours still vibrant.
