An excellent antique pair of Blanc de Chine or Dehua kiln Chinese porcelain vases, circa early Republic period from 1910s to 1920s. Incredible latticework pattern, the very intricacy of which is emblematic of Dehua porcelain. Each vase is decorated with intricately knotted lattice patterns as well as a wider endless rope twist pattern; the eternal knot is an auspicious symbol in Buddhism symbolising the cycle of life and karma. The baluster shaped vases are glazed white kaolin porcelain, which is again signature to Dehua kilnwork. Blanc De Chine was particularly desired during the Republic period and is enjoying a resurgence in popularity again. This is a rare find and would make a stunning pair of vases in any home.

Price marked at AUD$1200.
Measurements: 28cm high, 14cm diameter at widest point.
