Pair of American Whiting Louis XV pattern sterling silver spoons circa 1891

A beautiful pair of American Whiting Louis XV pattern sterling silver spoons circa 1891. Located in North Attleboro, Massachusetts, the firm produced flatware of exceptional quality that remains highly desired even today. Later in 1924 they would be acquired by Gorham, but these earlier pieces speak to the exceptional work that was available in 19th century North America.

Monogrammed “J” to handles in script of the period.

Measurements: 119 grams, 20.5 cm length.

Slight damage to edge of bowls as pictured, otherwise good antique condition. Marks well-struck and legible.
