A lovely Mexican sterling silver dish by noted silver retailer and maker Sanborns, circa late 1960s. Founded in 1903, it continues to operate today under the name Grupo Sanborns. It began producing its own line of fine silverware in 1923, and these pieces are now highly collectible. Engraved “1901-1966 // Felix & Liesel” to the centre of the dish, likely for the previous owner’s silver wedding anniversary. Repousse floral motifs through the lobed border details.
