Midcentury 1960s Lidded Jingdezhen Ginger Jar
Midcentury 1960s Lidded Jingdezhen Ginger Jar
This lovely midcentury Jingdezhen Porcelain Factory ginger jar features the signature Jingdezhen style enamels as well as ruyi and stylised flower patterns. The porcelain mark indicates this to be made in Jiangxi Jingdezhen Porcelain No.8 factory, which hearkens to the Cultural Revolution era practice of factory collectivisation. This would date to the Early People’s Republic period (1949-1966), most likely 60s.
A charming piece in a style that is skyrocketing in terms of value and collectivity.
Price marked at AUD$300.
Measurements: Approx 10.5 cm across at widest point, 10.5 cm approx height.
Excellent vintage condition, light wear commensurate with age, some fade to glaze.
