Midcentury 1960s-1980s Lidded Red Jingdezhen Ginger Jar with Hand-painted Mountain Scenes
Here we have a vintage Chinese Jingdezhen lidded ginger jar with hand-painted mountain scenes. This jar features a lovely overglaze in tones of red, with vintage Jingdezhen enamels signature of the period. Other details include stylised blossom motifs as well as lingzhi shaped motifs all over the main body of the vase. A highlight is the beautifully hand-painted front and back centre panels depicting a mountain river and mountain pagoda scene respectively.
Factory marks to the base indicate this piece is midcentury, circa 1960s to 80s. Pieces from this period are rapidly gaining interest with collectors.
