This highly desirable Atomic Coffee Maker was designed by Giordano Robbiati in 1946 in Milan Italy. This sculptural stove top espresso machine in a sleek atomic design has a highly polished finish, with classic cool to the touch bakelite handles. The machines were hand crafted by artisans in Italy, and remain highly in demand with midcentury collectors and coffee enthusiasts alike. This particular model is the original “Atomic” model with plaque, the most desirable version to be found.
Modern versions still retail at USD$500; original versions sell for well over 1.6k AUD.
