A lovely late Victorian Royal Worcester handled vase, in the Blush Ivory porcelain range, circa 1889.
Beautiful handpainted florals and 22ct gilt details contrast beautifully against the cream ivory ground of the porcelain.
Originally a pitcher vase design, at some point in time during this item’s history damage to the spout necessitated the removal of the top; the main body of the pitcher, now a charming handled vase, remains in good antique condition with with faint wear to the gold trim at handle and vase. The Royal Worcester crowned backstamp and factory marks which establish origin and date is still intact and clearly legible. Design #1361 as painted to the base, with registration marks to base dating this piece circa 1889.
Pieces from the Blush Ivory range pre-1900 are increasingly desirable for the serious porcelain collector.
