Late 19th Century Victorian Tartan Ware Napkin Ring, Prince Charlie Pattern
Late 19th Century Victorian Tartan Ware Napkin Ring, Prince Charlie Pattern
A late 19th century tartanware napkin ring. Inlay is in good condition. This would be fantastic for special occasions; we have another napkin ring in a different pattern. See our other listings for more information.
Overall a charming and collectible piece. A classic pattern in the Prince Charlie pattern, clearly named after Bonnie Prince Charlie- The Scottish Register of Tartans notes that “the reason for such a profusion of Prince Charles Edward tartans is said to be his habit of honouring his host at that time by wearing his tartan. In his travels he obviously stayed/hid with many hosts.”
Price marked at $125AUD.
Measurements: 23mm width, 5cm diameter.
Good antique condition with wear as pictured commensurate with age.
