Absolutely stunning late 19th century Minton hand-painted porcelain plate featuring an intriguing blend of Aesthetic Movement and Orientalist influences. The richly hand-enabled border details inspired by Islamic geometric patterns encircle a central motif of richly gilded gold and silver flowering details, inspired by chinoiserie trends as well as the details of Japanese lacquerware. The exquisite details including a delicately depicted dragonfly as well as the profusion of silver and gilt details indicate that this would have been intended for the creme de la creme of society. 

Here we see a printed early Mintons mark as well as impressed Minton mark, dating this to 1873 to 1890. A stunning and highly collectible piece.
