Large 19th century English Improved Stone China chinoiserie serving bowl, attrib. Charles Meigh
Here we have a large early to mid 19th century English Improved Stone China chinoiserie serving bowl, attributed to Charles Meigh. The Improved Stone China impressed mark is most frequently used by Charles Meigh, a Staffordshire manufacturer c.1835 - 1849, but was also used by other manufacturers such as Davenport and Minton. This pattern is highly reminiscent of Meigh’s Botanical pattern and is a rare larger example of Early Victorian china.
