Beautiful hand painted mid Meiji Period (mid 19th century) Imari plate, beautifully rendered in a palette of cobalt blue, green and a traditional iron red glaze.

Lovely hand-painted stylized motifs as well as handpainted crane motifs in underglaze cobalt blue to the back. Scalloped rim and well-executed details overall.

Very good antique condition, light wear overall commensurate with age. Some wear commensurate with age, minor firing flaws and kiln grit as pictured.
