Sterling silver with pierced floral motifs, with marks for ES Barnsley & Co (Edward Souter Barnsley), 1917, Birmingham. The firm closed in 1921, and large pieces from them are quite rare.

Retailer's mark on base for W.M.Drummond & Co, which was one of Melbourne's finest luxury retailers. Founded in 1858, their Bourke Street premises saw the creme de la creme of society until their closure in 2002.
