A beautiful Edwardian antique sterling silver belt buckle with marks for Chester, 1900, William Neale. Assay marks to back of buckle as well as to one prong, this is a fine example of Chester silver, made all the more rare as the Chester assay office would later close in 1962.

William Neale used this mark from 1888 to 1908 and produced many small fine silver goods, and buckles were among his specialities.

This would look lovely on a belt or on a velvet ribbon as a choker necklace.

Price marked at $250 AUD.

Measurements: 5 by 5.5cm. 22.1 grams.

Excellent antique condition. Marks to prong rubbed but legible, marks to back of buckle crisp and well-struck.
