A handsome pair of early Victorian sterling silver tongs, with marks for James Beebe, London 1838. Active from 1812 to 1843, he was a flatware manufacturer and this is a fine example of his work. Of substantial gauge and with crisp hallmarks, this is a desirable piece for collectors of antique English silver.
