Rare antique New Zealand sterling silver and nephrite jade souvenir spoon

Beautiful and rare antique New Zealand sterling silver marmalade or jam spoon with nephrite jade handle, circa first quarter of the 20th century (1900s to 1920s). Elegantly made and marked SILV for sterling silver to the back of the bowl.  The silver contrasts beautifully with the nephrite which is native to New Zealand amongst other countries and has been prized throughout time for its beauty and rich green shade.
