Lovely late Victorian sterling silver pierced egg-shaped basket with delicate bow motifs and original cobalt blue glass liner.
Maker’s marks for Daniel & John Wellby, in the earliest iteration of their mark which was from 1878-1903. Marks for London, 1894.
A substantial and elegant piece. The clawed feet, pierced details and charming bow motifs make this a truly Victorian piece in look and feel.

Condtion- good, one bubble to glass interior which is a firing flaw and does not impact display or use.
