Antique New Zealand set of 4 sterling silver cocktail fork with nephrite jade handles by Benjamin Waby, early 20th century

Beautiful and rare set of 4 antique New Zealand sterling silver cocktail forks with nephrite jadse, circa first quarter of the 20th century (1900s to 1910s), marked sterling and the sponsor’s mark for Benjamin Waby, a silversmith active in Dunedin in the early 20th century. Elegantly, the silver contrasts beautifully with the nephrite which is native to New Zealand amongst other countries and has been prized throughout time for its beauty and rich green shade.
