This rare Art Deco morpho wing and black lacquer trinket box is a special piece. The morpho butterfly wing jewellery craze was immensely popular throughout the Art Deco period, which was first unveiled to the public at the British Exposition of 1924. Morpho wing pieces from this era remains highly desirable, with pieces from the 1920s being the earliest British examples documented. This is also a fine example of treenware with all colours remaining crisp and vivid.
