A beautiful Victorian sterling silver glove stretcher with marks for London, 1897, William Comyns & Sons. This mark was used from 1888 to 1915.
The name of the original owner “Rosa” is beautifully engraved name to one side in script of the period. Comyns’ refined work had a premier reputation for its intricate designs and excellent quality, and was sold by the world’s best silver companies such as Tiffany & Co. This glove stretcher features the profuse repousse work that was Comyns’ signature, and bears assay marks to each part.

Measurements: 22cm length. 81.6 grams total weight.
Minor blemishes, otherwise very good antique condition with minor wear overall commensurate with age.
