An utterly fabulous antique Royal Worcester Country Loaf faux bread biscuit barrel, circa 1900/1901. From 1889 to 1902 when Grainger & Co, a prominent British ceramics factory, was acquired by Royal Worcester both marks were used when producing pieces at the Grainger Worcester factory.
Shaped to look like a freshly baked country loaf, this marvellous object is a perfect example of Victorian whimsy and would look stunning in any collection. The only thing that gives the game away is its handsome silver-plated fittings and hinged lid.
