Antique Ming period blue & white side plate

Antique Ming Dynasty period side plate (circa 1736–1795) decorated in underglaze cobalt blue. Underglaze maker’s mark to base of the bowl. This was likely produced in a folk kiln (min yao) or for export to Southeast Asia (Swatow ware).

Price marked at $180 AUD.

Measurements: 2.5cm height, 14.5cm diameter.

Rings true. Minor wear overall commensurate with age. Firing flaws and historic chips to the back as well as minimal staining and crazing as pictured. This would be fair to good antique condition considering the age of Ming ceramics. Old provenance level to base.
