Antique Ivory Figurine Depicting Shoulao with Longevity Peaches and Child

An older antique ivory piece circa late 19th to early 20th century. Depicting Shoulao, head of the Eight Immortal Sages holding his cane which has flowered to become a fruiting peach tree. His high forehead, gourd, cane and the fruiting peach trees give away his identity.

He is also often depicted as a grandfatherly figure with children as seen here, as a child is holding his robes and looking up at him while smiling.

Very delicate figural work which has been well executed.

Measurements: 14 cm total height, 5 cm base diameter.
