Antique Ivory Figurine of Jesus on the Crucifix

A rare piece to find, this antique ivory crucifix depicts Jesus on the cross. The inscription comes from when Pontius Pilate ordered the sign to be hung on the cross "Jesus Nazarenus Rex Judaeorum" (Latin: Jesus of Nazarus, King of the Jews).

Measurements: approx. 16 cm length, 9 cm across.  

Condition: The nail on his left hand is missing. Overall otherwise in good condition with wear and slight yellowing commensurate with age. .
