This beautiful set of two early 19th century Derby porcelain dishes was made during the reign of George III circa 1800-1825. We have seen several dishes in this style that were produced from the Chelsea-Derby factory; it is likely that this dish was made by Derby sometime after the closure of the Chelsea factory works as many moulds, patterns and workmen were then transferred to the Derby porcelain works.

Diamond-shaped, this lovely dish pattern features a fluted and moulded rim. This piece is beautifully hand painted with loose florals and gilt embellished leaves. It has then been hand gilded with gold detail throughout, particularly on the outer rim.

1st piece: Good antique condition. Wear to gilt, glaze and some staining to base as is typical of antique dishes that have been handled over time. Some small manufacturing flaws as is common with early English porcelain.

2nd piece: Fair antique condition. Two chips to underside of handles as pictured. Wear to gilt, glaze and some staining to base as is typical of antique dishes that have been handled over time. Some small manufacturing flaws as is common with early English porcelain.

Price marked at $440AUD each or $850AUD for the set. Please contact us if interested in buying these separately.

Measurements: 28 cm by 21 cm, 3.5 cm high.
