A beautiful George III sterling silver and ivory-handled fish server circa 1811-1820, with London assay marks for John Robertson II & John Walton.
While this piece does not have a year mark, the duty mark indicates this piece was made prior to 1820, and this mark is documented to be by John Robertson II & John Walton, who were Newcastle silversmiths whose work was occasionally sent to the London assay office. This piece was made with attention to detail, sporting carved details to the ivory handle and an engraved fish design with pierced details to the centre.
