A very charming leather bound address book with 9ct gold clasp and corner details, all hallmarked for London, 1900, Thomas de la Rue & Co., who were active from 1878 to 1902.
Beautifully made and bound in black leather, within are handsome beige leather card compartments with the original owner’s calling cards still within, but the little address book itself is in good unused condition, with lovely gilt edges and the pages within blank. Charmingly inscribed “Where is It?” to the interior book cover.
Price marked at $550 AUD.
Measurements: 8.8 by 10.2cm base measurements, 1.5cm high.
Overall very good antique condition with light wear to spine and cover commensurate with age of item.
