Antique Chinese export silver spoon, Yong Xing Cheng, Tientsin

A beautiful antique Chinese export silver spoon with marks for Yong Xing Cheng, a Tientsin maker active from 1860 to 1920. A forward thinking and innovative silver retailer and silversmith, pieces from his workshop bear a crane punchmark which served as a “trademark”, unusual for Chinese export silver at the time. We believe this piece to be circa 1880s to 1900s.

Tests as silver between .900 to .950 in purity.

Price marked at $250 AUD.

Measurements: 13.5cm length, 21.5grams.

Excellent antique condition overall with nice gauge and light wear commensurate with age.
