Antique Chinese export silver condiment or cocktail knife, Luen Wo, important Shanghai silversmith

A beautiful antique Chinese export silver condiment or cocktail knife with marks for Luen Wo and “Shi” (maker’s mark), a very important retail silversmith in Shanghai active from 1880 to 1940. We believe this piece to date from the 1st quarter of the 20th century (1900s to 1920s), and it has beautiful finely planished details and a repousse dragon motif coiling around the handle.

Tests as silver between .900 to .950 in purity.

Price marked at $200 AUD.

Measurements: 12cm length, 11.5grams.

Excellent antique condition overall with light wear commensurate with age.
