Antique Ivory Carving of Ivory Temple Dancers, possibly Indian

This ivory carving depicts two Indian maidens, possibly temple dancers, one on each side. The carving is beautifully and dimensionally done, taking advantage of the ivory's natural form to depict the dancers' movements, the folds of their skirt as well as an intricate floral background.
