Beautiful antique Arts & Crafts brass piano sconce from the Australian firm Beale & Co, circa first quarter of the 20th century (1900s to 1920s). Founded in 1893 at 47 Trafalgar Street, Annandale, Beale & Co., would rise to become the largest piano manufacturer in the British Empire.
With nearly every part of his pianos made in-house, the quality of Beale’s pianos was renowned worldwide. Still active today, Beale remains an important part of Australian history. This would be amazing in a Federation home, next to a mirror or even rewired to be a bedside nightlight.
