A beautiful antique 19th century Dutch silver candlestick with original bobeche and snuffer, with assay marks for J.M. Van Kempen & Zoon, .833 minimum silver purity. Date mark on bobeche dating to 1859 which is of the period and of the piece.

J.M. Van Kempen & Sons was a renowned firm that was active from 1814-1877, producing fine silver items of excellent quality. This piece is a beautiful example of their work, elegantly crafted and well-proportioned.
