Beautiful set of 3 George III English provincial silver spoons with marks for Richard Ferris, Exeter circa 1789 to 1810.
A rare bit of provincial English silver, all the moreso as this was assayed in the Exeter office’s final years before it closed in 1882. Ghost monograms or crests to the handles where the original engraving was erased by a previous owner, with new initials YJA being engraved sometime later in the 18th or 19th century.
Price marked at $225 AUD for the set.
Measurements: 13.7cm length. 36.3 grams total weight.
Excellent antique condition with light wear overall commensurate with age. Ghost monograms as described above.
