This early to mid 20th century Chinese snuff bottle is an exceptional piece. With black overlay glass that has been carved away cameo style, this is an excellent example of the reverse painting genre of snuff bottles. It is incredibly detailed, with a Chinese calligraphic style of art featuring stylised flowers blooming from a mountain cliff. Held to the light, the detail and depth of colour to this bottle is absolutely stunning. A beautiful jade stopper completes the look.
