Antique Early William Moorcroft Pansy Pattern Vase circa 1905, White Background with Purple Flowers
Antique Early William Moorcroft Pansy Pattern Vase circa 1905, White Background with Purple Flowers
Beautiful early William Moorcroft Pansy pattern vase circa 1905. One of the most important British ceramic designers in the Art Nouveau period, his pieces need little introduction and remain timelessly collectible.
This particular piece is an unusual shape and colourway; we have not seen another pansy patterned vase with a white painted ground with cobalt interior; the contrast with the pansies is particularly striking, making this an ideal piece for any Moorcroft collector.
Backstomp in green with William Moorcroft’s signature as well as Moorcroft Burslem impressed mark.
Price marked at $650 AUD.
Measurements: 14.5cm height, approximately 8.5cm diameter at widest point.
Overall excellent vintage near antique condition; light wear to glaze overall and crackling throughout, no major chips or cracks to note. Light wear to base commensurate with age.
