Vintage sterling silver Elkington & Co lidded 3 piece condiment set

A fine vintage sterling silver lidded 3 piece condiment set with marks for Elkington & Co., Birmingham, 1965 (mustard pot) to 1966 (salt cellar and pepperette). Exquisitely made as expected of one of England’s great silversmithing dynasties with beautiful Celtic engraving to the borders of each piece. The salt cellar and mustard pot come with their original handblown Bristol glass liners.

Founded in the 1830s, Elkington rapidly became one of the premier silver makers of their time and received various royal warrants of appointments, including an Imperial Warrant of Appointment from the emperor of Austria.

The spoon is associated with the set but unmarked, we have included it with the set.

Measurements: 116 grams with associated spoon and without glass liners.

Excellent antique condition overall, marks lightly rubbed but legible.
