A beautiful 19th century Victorian 10ct yellow gold and Scottish agate bracelet.
Here we see the Victorian fascination with the beautiful rock specimens of England displayed to excellent effect. Links sculpted from red lace agate, chalcedony, pale lace agate, jasper, moss agate and other quartz varieties are shown to excellent effect against the yellow gold caps and links, which feature ornate foliate and filigree engraving.
This has been XRF tested to have an average carat weight of 10.616 gold purity.
An exquisite piece of heirloom quality. This piece also has an independent NZ valuation from 2023 which reflects the much lower gold spot price back then.
