Here we have a beautiful pair of William IV antique sterling silver sauce ladles crested with a squirrel sejant, cracking a nut (leafed) which was the crest of the Norfolk branch of the Corbet Family. Both with assay marks for London, 1830, William Theobalds who was active from 1830 to 1843. The Corbet family is an aristocratic English family whose origins trace to the early Marcher lords post-Conquest, and once held the barony of Caus.
Price marked at $1250 AUD the pair .
Measurements: 18cm length. 116.4 grams total weight.
Excellent antique condition, light wear overall commensurate with age. Marks crisp and clear.
